An award named after The Rotary Club of Marietta has been established by Marietta City School System's Performance Learning Center in honor of the support our Club has consistently given to their very hard working students.
The Marietta Performance Learning Center is part of the Marietta City School System and works in conjunction with Marietta High School to teach students who are not performing well enough to graduate on time. By focusing on skill sets that promote successful college and career endeavors, by extensively incorporating on-line instruction and project-based learning activities and by providing personal support in small class-size environments, students are enabled to graduate and to go to college or move into good careers in the industrial workforce or military.
New Generations Committee Chair Judge Adele Grubbs and fellow members of The Rotary Club of Marietta worked to raise and donate gift cards and funds to provide rewards and incentives for the students. Students and faculty of The Performance Learning Center also attend Rotary Club of Marietta Meetings to share their successes.
