UPCOMING PROGRAM
Dan Keels Scholarship Awards - Sandy Springs Rotary Foundation

On Monday, December 20, 2021, Gene Jordan, President of the Sandy Springs Rotary Foundation, Inc. will present the annual program on the foundation's Dan Keels Scholarships.   The Dan Keels Scholarship is a scholarship program established in honor of the late Dan Keels who, as a member of the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs and as Chaplain of Northside Hospital, gave extensively to his community throughout his lifetime and inspired people through his lifetime of community service.   The foundation is an active 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and contributions are tax deductible.  Its board of directors consists of members of the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs. Current directors are Gene Jordan, President, Bill Snellings, Treasurer, and Sally McLaughlin, Secretary.

For 32 years, the Sandy Springs Rotary Foundation, Inc. has celebrated and encouraged young adults who embrace Rotary International’s motto of “Service Above Self” and who exhibit exemplary academic, community service and leadership qualities. Established in 1989 by the Rotary Club of Sandy Springs, the Sandy Springs Rotary Foundation, Inc. operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. Many of the recipients have exhibited leadership qualities while participating in their high school’s Interact Club.

Scholarship recipients for the 2020-2021 academic year are:

Keziah N. Plange, North Springs High School, attending Georgia State University;

Trinity N. Henry-Jack, North Springs High School, attending Valdosta State University;

Jonah B. Menikoff, Riverwood International High School, attending Emory University;
