REAP (Reading is Essential for All People)

The Rotary Club of East Cobb fills a very important gap in our community as there are no other civic organizations in Cobb County that contribution to this entity. By partnering with this Non-Profit, we are able to help better equip the teachers to deal with Dyslexia. We recognize this project worthy for the Governor's Citation. Results show that reading scores have improved significantly from teachers that have received this additional training.

REAP has trained 840 teachers who have helped 30,660 readers in over 100 public schools.

REAP, trains mostly Pre-K to 3rd Grade plus instructional coaches, intervention teachers, special educations teachers and even a principal

Local Non-Profit that provides funding to schools mostly in Cobb County but also includes schools for the city of Marietta, Decatur and Atlanta. The organization's mission is to provide additional training to Teachers in the area of Dyslexia. We are the only civic organization in Cobb County that provides funding to help train teachers in this specialized area. There are many students in the schools that have Dyslexia but may not have been tested for it just yet who can't afford tutors or private schools. Teaching children with Dyslexia requires specific training in our schools. Providing Grant money helps them address this much needed area that has long been overlooked or under funded.
