The Rotary Club of East Cobb sponsored East Cobb Robotics as a New Interact Club, Marietta, GA, by presenting them with a check for $1,000. The proceeds were used to offset materials and competition costs and enable students to have a robust experience in learning robotics as well as team work. As a result, they were able to build a battery powered wheelchair suitable for people of all ages, including small children. This is their first built model and it was presented to a local family with a small 3 year old boy who will use this to move around more freely and communicate more effectively.
In addition to the Grant money of $1,000, our club raised an additional $410 which we also donated to East Cobb Robotics from the Sunshine collection.
Part of the proceeds was definitely used to create "
It was a great feeling seeing the impact our donation made in real time!
